Who is the funding for?
Community and volunteer groups, schools and non-profit organizations to use for projects that will benefit the environment by reducing carbon emissions. For example, previous projects have included recycling guides, restoring old furniture to sell to charities, and cooking clubs to improve people’s diets.

Successful applicants can receive up to £30,000 for programs that operate in the six districts of Merseyside and Halton, or £1,000-8,000 for projects that operate at a local level.

Projects that will receive funding must address household waste:

The UK Youth Fund – Thriving Minds

Grants available: £15,000 – £50,000 per year for up to 3 years

Deadline to apply: March 20, 2022

Who is the funding for?
UK Youth and Julia Hans Rausing Trust have joined forces to distribute £1.3m in funding to organizations that fund youth work, particularly those that help young people struggling with their mental health. Funding is available for youth organizations in the UK with a turnover of up to £500,000.

Julia and Hans Rausing said: “This funding is a continuation of our work with UK Youth and follows the success of the Youth Center Recovery Fund which we launched at the height of the pandemic. During our work with UK Youth, we have established that there is a real need for youth workers to support young people at such important stages in their lives.

“We hope that the UK Youth Fund – Thriving Minds and the £10m funding will be another example of how good quality, targeted youth work can make a real difference for young people across the UK. United, and we can’t wait to see the results.”

Social Enterprise Support Fund

Who is the funding for?
The second round of the Social Enterprise Support Fund was released today. Funding should be used to get a social enterprise back on track or to help you work with communities recovering from Covid-19. Grants can fund the costs of a community outreach worker, help you provide educational support, or help you build local partnerships.

The Social Enterprise Support Fund said “decisions will be made quickly and funds released as soon as possible”.

Reviving Britain

Grants available: up to £15,000

Deadline to apply: March 31, 2022

Who is the funding for?
The Rewilding Innovation Fund is for projects across England, Wales and Scotland aimed at rewilding the countryside. Rewilding is the large-scale restoration of ecosystems to the point where nature can take care of itself.

Some examples of past projects are the restoration of seagrass beds and the seeding of trees. Land projects must be at least 40 hectares in size, while marine projects can be of any size.

The Lego Foundation

Grants available: £74,000-£11m

Deadline to apply: Organizations must be registered by April 7. The deadline for submission is May 17, 2022.

Who is the funding for?
To celebrate Lego’s 90th anniversary, Lego is inviting organizations to apply for a share of £105 million in funding from The Lego Foundation. The Build a World of Play challenge is for organizations that have an impact on the early development of children.

The charity’s CEO Anne-Birgitte Albrectsen said the fund will respond to a “global early years emergency”, characterized by young children losing access to services and support, particularly during the pandemic.

The fund is available for applications worldwide. The Lego Foundation promotes learning through play and wants to fund projects that transform early childhood experiences while tackling global social issues.

Sir Jules Thorn Charitable Trust

Grants available: £100,000 – £500,000

Who is the funding for?
The Trust’s new Health and Care Improvement and Innovation Fund is open to applications from UK registered and exempt charities and NHS organisations. The fund will support the development of new health and care models and the integration of health and care services.

Applications can relate to any area of ​​physical or mental health or disability, but must demonstrate that the investment will result in better outcomes for people using the service, improve access to services, or improve their resilience .

The Trust will only support projects that are scalable or replicable by other organisations, and therefore have the potential to deliver benefits beyond a single framework. The Roots of Civil Society Program

Grants available: £1,000 – £50,000

Deadline to apply: April 22, 2022

Who is the funding for?
The Mayor of London announced the third round of this program last week. Funding of £1 million is available. Funding is for organizations led by and for communities affected by structural inequalities. The grant money is expected to help Londoners who are black, Asian and ethnic minority, deaf, disabled, LGBT+, older people and women.

The 10 boroughs targeted in this round of funding are Bromley, Enfield, Harrow, Havering, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Newham, Redbridge, Sutton and Wandsworth.

Funding can be used to develop new partnerships, work on a collaborative project, fund research, team building or training.
