Make-A-Wish Australia has partnered with social enterprise Amazing Change to raise donations through new digital solutions, harnessing the power of digital giving for the greater good.

Launched on March 1, 2022, the partnership is running a giveaway of 25 prizes, including two luxury Mercedes-Benzes and 23 gift cards worth AUD$1,000 each. Entrants can qualify for prizes by donating to Make-A-Wish Australia on the Amazing Change digital platform.

With a staggering AUD 344 billion in donations lost worldwide in 2020 due to the pandemic according to Forbes, our nonprofits need our help now more than ever.

Make-A-Wish has been granting wishes in Australia since 1985 and currently Make-A-Wish supports over 800 children with serious illnesses, more children than ever before. Following the impact of COVID, Make-A-Wish has seen a 30% increase in the number of children who need their support. With Amazing Change partnering together, we’ll make sure no child misses out on a life-changing Wish Journey.

Founded by Stephen Duggan and Deryll Naidoo, Amazing Change is on a mission to become the world’s largest digital fundraising company. With an 87% drop in global giving due to social distancing, Amazing Change is looking to solve the charity industry’s biggest problem by creating a collection of pandemic-proof digital fundraising solutions.

By taking a “two-way” approach to donating, Amazing Change makes it quicker and easier for people to support reputable charities while rewarding them with the chance to win life-changing prizes. Through their Giveaways 4 Cause and upcoming Roundups 4 Cause digital app, Amazing Change has set a goal to raise $30 million to support Australian charities by 2026.

Amazing Change is uniquely positioned in the market with its integrated approach, ensuring that the funds it raises for partners like Make-A-Wish Australia are linked to results that donors can resonate with through its initiative. Goodness Impact.

Led by Tanya Dontas, the Goodness Impact for Make-A-Wish will focus on communicating the impact of dollar donations on the power to grant wishes to seriously ill children. For everyone involved, wishes have a remarkable, uplifting and positive impact – far beyond the wish itself. Wishes are designed to supplement medical treatment, support families, and give sick children hope and joy when they need it most. Wishes are not just one-time moments, each wish is carefully planned, designed and fulfilled, making the impossible possible for sick children.

Sally Bateman, CEO of Make-A-Wish Australia, says: “We are delighted to have been selected as one of the charitable beneficiaries of Amazing Change. Helping seriously ill children find hope is something we all have the power to do. With the support of Amazing Change, we look forward to making more amazing dreams come true for children with life-threatening illnesses. With over 800 children counting the days until their wish comes true, there has never been a more important time to support our mission.

Said Naidoo: “We are thrilled to partner with Make-A-Wish Australia because supporting wish kids is incredibly close to our hearts. We now have the opportunity to leverage over 20 years of digital growth experience to do good. More than collecting donations, our Goodness Impact with Make-A-Wish Australia will help us bridge the understanding gap between donors and the causes they care about most.
