This is a unique opportunity to work in one of Scotland’s leading innovators in mobile marketing. At a time of accelerating technology, this 30 month Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project between Rackit Ltd and UWS, the position has the potential for permanent employment.
In response to an acceleration due to the pandemic, the successful candidate will be engaged to work in a 30-month Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project between the Rackit and UWS, the position has the potential for permanent employment . You will be a Digital Marketing/Digital Business Analyst/Digital Business Development graduate or with a relevant degree involving a significant amount of relevant digital business experience. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the leadership team and will be instrumental in delivering the company’s exciting plans for business growth, achieved by enhancing the team’s approach to developing strategic management, planning and decision-making, to implement organizational and cultural changes and to build business resilience.
Founded in 2006, Rackit Ltd, provides customers, from small office-based businesses to multinational global giants such as BP, Tesco and Amazon, with storage and material handling solutions that help make the most of their space – by increasing productivity, making operations easier, and ultimately increasing profitability. With a combined experience of over 100 years, the company currently employs 26 people at its Scottish headquarters and regional offices across the UK. With six offices and a warehouse (Scotland, Ireland and England) plus a European warehouse in the Netherlands, the company offers a range of bespoke, off-the-shelf storage solutions to commercial customers (factories, warehouses, work) covering shelving, shelving, racks and conveyor platforms as well as design, installation, training and maintenance services.

The successful candidate must possess:
- Minimum a Bachelor of Commerce degree with specialization in Digital Marketing, MSc in Digital Marketing, eCommerce or Mobile or related field.
- Demonstrable experience or portfolio of projects in a business digital transformation role.
- Desirable if membership in relevant professional organization (e.g. DMI, CIM, IDDM)
The essential skills we need include the following:
✔ Solid experience in digital business transformation and digital marketing demonstrated by qualifications and/or experience.
✔ Understand digital business market dynamics and challenges and be able to work with client contract specifications for business development.
✔ Understanding of innovations and integrated applications of digital, social and transformational technologies.
✔ Skills developed in project management and research organization.
✔ Strong numerical, analytical and data processing skills.
✔ Strong digital skills and ability to work with different cloud ecosystems (preferably with G Suite Enterprise or MOS Enterprise)
✔ Ability to work with Google Analytics / Business Analytics for external and internal communication systems and approaches.
✔ Ability to establish project costs and compare alternatives based on cost and other factors.
✔ Expertise in writing and preparing reports and business cases.
✔ Ability to deliver results in a very dynamic organization with tight deadlines.
✔ In addition, the candidate may be required to perform ad hoc administrative and reporting tasks as needed.
✔ Ability to work independently.
